Collect and preserve archival materials and film ephemera related to Sinophone cinema, including film stills, production photographs, press materials, posters, scripts, correspondence, physical ephemera, and other documents held by filmmakers, their families, and associated individuals.
Organise institutional public screenings, retrospective film programmes, exhibitions, and talks, drawing on its archival holdings, research, and guest curators. Programming will be designed to be accessible to non-specialist audiences as well as scholars and practitioners.
Conduct oral and video interviews with film practitioners, including directors, producers, actors, crew members, and other industry figures, whose testimony constitutes primary historical source material.
Partner with cultural institutions, film archives, and academic bodies globally to support the preservation and promotion of Sinophone film heritage.
Commission research, writing, scholarly essays, exhibition catalogues, and monographs related to the full spectrum of Sinophone film heritage. Publications will be made available in Mandarin and English to serve Chinese-speaking and international audiences.
